I booked an appointment with Kelvin two days in advance, only to find out—at the last minute—that he had rescheduled it without my knowledge. The only... notification was an email, which I didn’t see. When I logged into Booksy to get the address for my appointment, I saw that it had already passed. No call, no text—just an unnoticed email. To make matters worse, when I tried to reschedule, I found out that he had blocked me from booking again. This is beyond unprofessional. Communication is key, and a simple text or call would have solved everything. I don’t care how good you are at cutting hair—professionalism comes first. Well-deserved 1 star. Kelvin, Your response doesn’t address the main issue—lack of proper communication. Rescheduling an appointment without directly notifying the client via text or call is unprofessional. I never agreed to an earlier time, and the only notification was an email, which I was unaware of. If my original appointment was still available, why did it show as passed when I logged in? And why was I blocked from booking again? Being physically present at the shop doesn’t make up for poor communication and lack of customer service. A simple text or call would have resolved everything. Instead of addressing that, you’re deflecting responsibility. This experience speaks for itself. Let’s be clear—I never received any calls from you. There are no missed calls or voicemails on my phone, so saying you called is simply untrue. If you actually tried to reach me, you could have sent a text, which you didn’t. Blocking a client because of a miscommunication—one that you caused—is not professional. I respected your time by booking in advance, but you failed to properly notify me of changes. A simple text or call before rescheduling would have avoided all of this. Instead of taking accountability, you're making excuses and being dishonest. My 1-star review stands. Show more

I rescheduled for an earlier time if you were able to and if you weren’t your regular scheduled appointment was definitely still available. I was still at the shop all day, and even waiting for you at 7 and it even being 11:48 Thursday March 27th I’m still at the shop right now. Just because I have hours on my booking app I’m always available even after hours so please don’t try to say I’m unprofessional when I’m still here now and was waiting for you to come at your regular scheduled time thank you . And the reason I blocked you because I did try and call you at 646 and again at 715 to see if you were coming and there was no response and went straight to voicemail. Me being a professional I don’t do the no shows because that takes away from my family. So if there is a reason for you to give me 1 star because I don’t cut clients that don’t respect my time. Thank you and hope you the best 🙏

Official barber! One of the best in Newburgh. This coming from someone who was born and raised in NYC. Been getting a drop skin fade with Kel for a fe...w months and it’s perfect every time. The fade actually fades. It’s not like a Mohawk. And my hairline is receding but he never pushes it back when he lines me up. Cool dude too. Can have a convo with him or just sit back in silence and let him work ✊🏾 Show more
