I was very excited to return back to Tipp for the 2nd time but 1.5 hours before my appointment she texted me to say she “Hey I need u to come later th...an 3PM” - I relied back - “what time worked best for you - I have a haircut appointment at 5PM”- she read the text but didn’t reply - I called she didn’t answer. I am a school teacher at new job and we were having staff photos the next day, it was vital I had my hair braided. In a panic I called a friend and she recommended another stylist that was able to fit me in. Tipp didn’t cancel my appointment!!! The lack of customer service and professionalism - I am highly disappointed. Show more

Braids are neat and very pretty; however, the price did not match the braids. I did request medium, waist length, and knotless. But, the hair is parte...d very big for medium and the braids are neat, but very small for the size of the parts. My grand daughter can pull any hair style off, and she makes the braids look good (my granddaughter); but this is amateur at most when it comes to the braids. Or, maybe, I’m just used to her braids on her head to be full and many; because, this is NOT what I was expecting at all for $200. I braid her hair, but wanted to take a break and being new to the area; I thought it would be great. I did book her once before, but her car broke down and we were headed to DR and we did not get a chance to fulfill the appointment; so we gave her a second chance. Sorry to say, I will not return. And, I should have been more specific in what I was expecting and researched more; because I do not like going to other people houses. But, I did give that a chance and ran some errands. But when I returned, it was a different woman completing her braids, than who started. So, maybe I should have been more cautious on that part too. The first pic is what I braided about 3 months ago and took down yesterday for the second pic, braided today by Tipp. Updates: This is the type of things are texted about the teens from Braids with Tipp, unprofessional. Please think before you bring your kids for service. Texted to me today; because of my review. So sad. Updates: look at the pics you sent from google and then look at my baby’s hair. NOT THE SAME STANDARD!!!! And as for tarnishing your name/business; you did that when you texted me personally and NOT leaving it on the review. THAT’S ON YOU!!!! LEAVE MY GRAND BABY’S HAIR OUT OF IT. It was damaged by color and then chopped off to re-grow; so that’s why we came to a professional for help with the problem and NOT to BELITTLE a child!!! BUT, YOU, INSTEAD OF BEING AN ADVOCATE FOR HER HAIR AND GIVING ADVICE; YOU CHOOSE A DIFFERENT ROUTE!!! GROW UP!!! YOU COULD HAVE GAINED A LOYAL-CUSTOMER IN THIS SITUATION. I have 9 other grands, that have long beautiful hair; that could have been in your chair as well. . But, no, that’s not WHAT YOU DID!!! Well you should've braided it yourself because clearly you do not know what medium knotless braids are so yes do your research before you book something. The braids u did weren't even knotless braids they were box braids and I do not have to meet your size this is my version of medium and I have many pics of the same.. and u seen it was a house when u pulled up you should've left then if you have a problem going to someone's house... GOOD DAY. Let me update as well .. just let it go and you are trying so hard to tarnish my business because u booked medium knotless without researching the amount of braids first please do her hair yourself this is nonsense also let them know that her hair has been bleached out and cut in all different lengths and is very damaged and short seems like you guys have been experimenting with her hair and expect someone to work a Miracle after you have died and fried it. Late review-Visited 5-15-24. I love my hair! Tip is quick fast and efficient! Let's not forget hilarious and down to earth! I would def recommend but ...not for the boojee due to not being in a salon. She had me in and out and 3 weeks later my hair is still holding up! It's all about maintenance. The boho isn't intended to last long anyway. I plan on cutting the loose pieces and rocking these bad boys for another 3-5 weeks 😁. Thanks Tip! I'll be back! Show more

Kids Knotless Braids Wash And Blow Dry

Two things I wish I did before booking this appointment - google the address because I made the mistake of thinking this was a salon and it is a house... and believe the negative reviews. I took my daughter for kids braids. Her hair was braided by a young woman. The braids do not look good and she has not been in the water - they may last 2-3 weeks if I can stand to look at them that long. Even worse than the braids was the lack of professionalism. Towards the end of the appointment someone called and said my daughter was 12 and 12 is considered an adult and they would charge the adult price. It does not state this on their website and I would have never booked here if it did. Also, when my daughter was leaving the braider did not return the hair I purchased and instead told her to leave it there for next time. There will never be a next time. I did not realize she didn't give the hair back until we got home. I was going to let it go but since they overcharged me and did a bad job I called to get the hair back. I believe the young lady answered the phone and stated she was sleeping (at 11:00am in the morning) but she would find the hair and call me back so I could pick it up but of course she did not. Finally, I would not recommend taking children here. My daughter was subjected to inappropriate conversations about blunts, weed, and getting high between the braider and her male friend- extremely inappropriate in my opinion! You have been warned! Booked with Tiffany but was told she couldn’t do it when I arrived and that her daughter would be braiding instead. The braids are already fuzzy after... only 3 weeks. Won’t be back. I see there was an incorrect comment left to the above review. You have confused me with another client. We did not go to any beach. She went swimming one time for less than an hour. The braid look a mess after less than 3 weeks. Also, I see the fact that I booked with you and not your daughter but your daughter was the one who braided the hair was not addressed in your comment. No need to go back and forth, just wanted to provide my honest feedback for anyone thinking of booking with you. You might not actually be the one braiding the hair. That is the truth. It’s also true that the braids have not lasted well. Also, I never came back. Not once. No need to try to discredit the truth. Hope you have a good day. Show more

If I were braids in a child I would be fuzzy too after almost a month especially after going to Myrtle beach getting in water which is the reason u got the braids for vacation good day ma’am u came way back in April u just now deciding to leave a review after she done got in water and messed up her braids. Ma’am either way u can't get braids wet and this is a business me and my daughters braid so u may or may not get in my chair but the truth is she got the braids wet and that's the reason they look the way they do good bye I’m not gonna go back and forth and trust me love I have over 400 clients they all know that either me or my daughters will braid their hair and they always love their braids u the only one got a problem after letting your child get in a pool with knotless braids good day
