**Buyer beware** I'm editing my review to one star. First time I got my sengelese twists in January it was great. I gave her five stars. BUT the 2nd t...ime in May when I got them it was bad. 3rd and final time four days ago it was an outright mess!!!! I reached out to Samira to ask if I should get a touchup to correct some or just start completely from scratch with a fresh set (AND PAY FOR IT MYSELF) cause I needed them for my vacation next week, but she COMPLETELY ignored me and never responded. Straight radio silence!!!!! Ghosted!!! Mind you, she responds promptly when it has to do with paying her! I have to say it really hurt my feelings cause I've been nothing but nice to her and I ALWAYS tip. But after 2x of getting botched hairstyles at $260 a pop, l won't be back. Come to find out I heard from another customer that she has a tendency to constantly mess up regular customers but she does great with first time customers :/ weird behavior pushing out the regulars but whatever. It's no problem finding a better stylist cause these last two visits with her were a nightmare. Samira, you can do better as a professional when working with your clients. Shame on you. Look at these mismatched twists and crooked parts! THIS IS ONLY AFTER 4 DAYS!!!! My real hair was coming out and everything. Just a mess. My 16y niece could do better. I will gladly find better. And to think I was willing to pay another $260 to have this redone. Nope..I’ll take my hard earned money elsewhere. Show more

Hi Natasha, I am so sorry for your unpleasant experience. I am not sure what really went wrong with the hair after braiding but I am currently out of country and when you texted I must have genuinely missed your text due to time zone difference and network issues that's why we've had a different number scheduling at the moment. It must have been some kind of miscommunication which we apologize for. We treasure all our clients whether current or new and try our best to address all their concerns with no discrimination. THE ABSOLUTE BEST HAIRSTYLE I’VE GOTTEN IN YEARS! I love my new look! I showed Samira a pic of what I was hoping for and they above and beyond my expe...ctations. I get so manyyyy compliments too :) I will definitely be getting this style again for summer. The shop was easy to find, and clean, I went in early and it took them a bit to get going but it didn’t set me back time wise, so I didn’t mind. Only downside was the bathroom is behind the bldg, kinda scary, but that wasn’t their fault. Thank you, Samira! I will definitely be back. Show more

Rating: 2/5 I recently booked an appointment for straight-back braids with natural hair at this salon through Booksy. My appointment was scheduled fo...r 4:30 PM, and I arrived 10 minutes early. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I believe other potential clients should have an awareness of the conditions. Pros: • The stylist assigned to me was polite and reserved. • The braids themselves are tight and neat, though the parts could have been straighter. • Decent price for said style. Cons: • The shop itself was small, cramped, and lacked adequate parking. There were about 7-8 stylists working in a space that seemed ill-equipped for that many. • While I had prepped my hair by washing, conditioning, and blowing it out before arriving, there didn’t appear to be a proper wash station, and I wasn’t offered this service. For a professional establishment, this was surprising. • The workstations were cluttered, and the stylists had to share essential tools like braiding gel, rubber bands, and hair dryers. At one point, stylists were reaching over me to grab products, which made me uncomfortable. • The overall atmosphere felt unprofessional. Many of the stylists were laughing and joking loudly, mostly conversing in their native language, which added to the chaos of the space. • During my appointment, one stylist even threw a balled up apron/cape across me to a windowsill, which felt disrespectful and unhygienic. • The seating arrangement was inadequate, with only two chairs for waiting clients and little space for anyone to comfortably sit without being in the way of stylists accessing the shared dryer or their stations. In summary, the professionalism, courtesy, and basic amenities that I expect from a salon were missing. While my braids look fine, the overall experience made me uncomfortable, there is lots of room for improvement. Show more
