About us

1. Unless you've scheduled a wash and blow out with Cali Braidz, you MUST COME “braid ready”. Your hair should be FREE from ALL PRODUCTS. NO: grease, leave in conditioner, no gel, NOTHING. If I have to rewash there will be a $35 charge. $10 charge if I blow dry only. Completely stretched and DETANGLED -- ESPECIALLY the roots. You should be able to run your fingers through your hair easily. If I need to detangle there will be a $15 charge. If your hair is extremely tangled, there is a $25 per hour up charge to detangle (15 minutes into an hour is counted as a full hour) if time permits, otherwise your appointment may be cancelled. 1b. If you have: THICK HAIR, SHORT HAIR, EXTREME UNEVEN HAIR ALL OVER, EXTREME PROBLEM AREAS (balding, Alopecia, surgery scars) there is a $25 up charge PER ITEM. 1c. Your hair must be AT LEAST 4 inches long. Anything shorter will incur a $25 up charge. 1d. DO NOT come to your appointment with plaits, twists, bantu knots or anything I have to take down. Your hair should be washed clean, blown out, with ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT in it and ready to be braided. If you've scheduled a wash, your hair should be down and combed out. If I have to take down plaits, bantu knots, twists, etc., you will be charged a $5 per minute fee. No exceptions. 2. I provide hair for ALL BRAIDED STYLES in CERTAIN COLORS ONLY. 1, 1b, 2, 4 and grey (if your hair is naturally grey). For any other color, there's a $5 per bundle up charge. Choose your hair color at the time of booking. If no color is specified, 1b is the default color. All colors wanted must be chosen the day you book. 3. A $25 NONREFUNDABLE deposit (that is subtracted from your total) is REQUIRED. You are NOT BOOKED until you receive a confirmation. Your deposit is due the same day the appointment is booked, otherwise the appointment will be rejected. 3a. Your deposit is not transferable. 4. Once you have booked your style, it cannot be altered unless I am able to accommodate doing a different style. If accommodations can be made, the price will either remain the same or go up depending on the style. The price WILL NOT go down. 5. There is a $1 a minute late charge after a 5 minute grace period. After 20 minutes, including the grace period, your appointment will be canceled. 5a. You may reschedule, but your total balance is due at the time of rescheduling, and the 1st deposit paid is null. 5b. If YOU cancel your appointment less than 48 hrs before the date, you may reschedule. Your initial deposit is null and the total balance will be due at the time of rescheduling. If you miss/cancel your 2nd appointment, your total balance is lost and you may not reschedule. 5c. If you cancel your appointment well in advance, you may reschedule within 2 weeks of your original appointment date without losing your deposit (if my schedule permits, otherwise the deposit is lost). 6. Don't bring extra people with you. 7. Payment forms I accept: Cash App ($FennettaIverson), Venmo (@Fennetta-Lowe), Zelle (nettaru007@gmail.com...use my email NOT MY PHONE NUMBER) and CASH in person. 7a. Zelle and in person deposits are $25. Cash app and Venmo deposits are $26. 7b. If you pay off the rest of your style using either cash app or Venmo, THERE IS A $3-$7+ CHARGE (2.75% of your balance). Please be sure to add it. 8. If you have allergies to any hair products, please be sure to mention it BEFORE your appointment. 9. There will be a $50 up charge for any appointment that needs to be booked after hours Tues-Sat. After hours is any appointment made after 3 pm. Sunday/Monday are my off days, but in extreme need I will book on those days. A $75 up charge will be applied. No Monthly specials are honored for appointments booked on Sunday or Monday.
