I booked a hair and makeup appointment at The Hair Bar in Greenpoint for my brother-in-law’s wedding. First, the hair was great. My stylist did a bea...utiful job and kept checking in throughout the appointment to make sure I was happy with how everything was looking. I really appreciated how attentive and collaborative she was, and my style held up well throughout the event. Unfortunately, the makeup experience was very disappointing. I was asked what I was looking for and clearly explained that I didn’t want foundation due to sensory issues. I was told the coverage would be very sheer, but it ended up feeling heavy and looking quite cakey. I was uncomfortable with the sanitation practices as well — brushes did not appear to be clean, and mascara was applied directly with the wand instead of a disposable applicator. Additionally, I asked for a natural lip, but was given a dark brown lip liner that I later removed myself. Overall, I would absolutely return for hair services, but I would not book makeup again.

I love you guys. I moved from the Bronx a couple of years ago. I haven’t found ANYTHING in Greenpoint that was this close to home for me. I really lov...e the fact that my hair never looked so good. I always got it done bone straight. You guys gave me new life. Im looking forward to coming regularly. I just download Booksy so appointments are at my fingertips. I love this for me right now. Im adulting lol. No, seriously all jokes aside I posted you guys on my instagram. I will refer anyone I know. You guys ROCK ! Thanks again, consider me a regular at this point.
