The very air was thick with the scent of oils and the faint whisper of steel, as though the spirits of knights long past did watch in reverence. When first he set cloak upon my shoulders, a great trembling seized my heart — for lo, many a barber hath promised glory, yet delivered only sorrow. But nay! With hands most steady and eyes keen as a falcon’s, Sir Bobby took to his task as though he wielded not mere shears, but Excalibur itself! Each lock of hair fell swift as foes upon the battlefield, and with every stroke mine own visage was reborn. As the work was wrought, my spirit didst soar. I felt as though crowned anew by destiny herself, my reflection shining with valor fit for court or quest. Yea, had I been summoned before a king that very hour, I wouldst not have faltered — for Bobby had clad me not in steel, but in confidence, sharper than any blade!
