I’m going to start with what was good, then a whole lot of what was bad. Firstly I liked how Mr.Shavin lined my goatee, and the warm towel was a nice ...touch…The atmosphere was chill…. Based on first impressions of Mr.Shavin he seems personable but lacks professionalism and skill. As soon as I got in the seat, he started to talk to me about a movie and said if I bring my BITCH to this movie blah blah blah…he inadvertently calls my fiancé a bitch, and continues to talk to me about his girls dog, so much that he forgot what type of haircut I wanted. Midway through the haircut he asks what type of haircut I wanted? Like really? I told him I wanted a taper cut 1 1/2 off the top and he used what looked like 1/2 guard closed, at this point it was too late to turn back but instead of my hair staying dark on the top he gave me a buzz cut. He said he used the right guard, but I also cut hair and he did not use the correct guard, even with a 1 1/2 closed it should have never been that low. I can honestly say it was the worst haircut I’ve ever received. Also the force he was using to turn my head was like he was mad at me or something.I was going to walk out multiple of times, but I just kept telling myself “it will grow back”. But now I know not to get cut by him ever again. Disclaimer: I wouldn’t mind coming there again because of cost and availability, just not with the barber I had. Show more
