I booked with Nurtured by NIS (Anisa) for my daughter’s first salon experience, and the service exceeded my expectations. Anisa was professional, kin...d, and communicative from the start. She called before the appointment to answer my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with the services being provided. She performed a color and silk press and was very intentional and thorough. She did not rush, explained the process, provided hair care education, and trimmed my daughter’s hair without overdoing it, which I truly appreciated. The salon space was clean, professional, and welcoming with beautiful décor. The bathroom was clean, and the overall environment felt relaxed and comfortable. Pros: • Licensed cosmetologist • Additional certifications displayed • Clean, professional environment • Friendly and respectful service • Great pricing • Free parking (shopping center) Cons: • None — I honestly wish she could be my go-to stylist forever. I will definitely be booking again and highly recommend Nurtured by NIS to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, licensed, and professional stylist.

First time visiting this salon and Anisa. Went to have braids taken down which included wash and blow dry. I didn’t find Anisa very welcoming. The tak...e down was fine but the wash and blow dry experience was bad. She was very rough with my 4c hair, didn’t detangle it properly or gently and I left with my roots still damp. By the end I was over it because it was just painful getting my hair yanked left and right.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience. I always do my best to be welcoming and ensure my clients are comfortable so it hurts to hear your experience didn’t align with that. I can ensure you I did my best, especially with detangling, but as your hair wasn’t in its best condition, it was a bit challenging to do so with 0 snags. However, had I known you were in pain, I would’ve made sure to adjust appropriately. Nevertheless, as I don’t believe in charging for services my clients don’t enjoy, I will issue you a full refund. Apologies again for your experience and best of luck in the future.
