The customer service and hospitality is always a 10/10. Everyone is always pleasant. However, I took away a star for this visit because of the type of... trim that is included in the blowvember special. When I initially booked, I saw what is called a “cut/reshape” is included in the special if deemed necessary by the stylist. I wasn’t really sure if that was a regular trim so I asked the young lady at the service desk and Jamilah for clarity. Jamilah said that it included a trim but only a trim of the perimeter of your hair. So I was ready to pay extra for I guess a more thorough trim and was then told that I couldn’t modify my appointment. In that moment, I remembered that I did read that upon booking the special. Trimming the perimeter to shape is cool but trimming throughout the hair is really necessary especially for someone like myself who is dealing with breakage. It really helps to resolve breakage and preserve the health of someone’s hair. I still left a bit confused because I saw that the pricing list has since been updated and the “cut/reshape” description reads that it is “trimming ends” but that’s also listed under the blowvember description. So I’m just going to assume that the complimentary trim that’s included in the blowvember special is only a partial trim but that should be explained a bit more in depth under the description respectfully. To be honest, I would’ve just booked the regular silk press and treatment service if I would’ve known that the special had that stipulation. Show more

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this salon with Jamilah. I came in for a silk press and haircut, and despite showing multiple photos o...f what I wanted, the end result was a disaster. Jamilah never once mentioned that I didn’t have the hair density to achieve the look I was aiming for, but instead assured me she could deliver. What I walked out with looked NOTHING like the style I requested, and to make matters worse, I was charged extra for it! Not only was the haircut awful, but the overall experience was just as bad. Jamilah was working on THREE other clients at the same time as me. I arrived at 10am and didn’t leave until 4pm. That’s SIX hours! I don’t know if this is typical for them, but the lack of attention and care made the whole experience unbearable. If you’re considering coming here, make sure you ask plenty of questions before committing to anything, because they won’t tell you upfront if what you want isn’t possible, and you’ll end up paying for something you didn’t ask for. I will not be returning to this salon. UPDATE: Just washed my hair at home for the first time since the appointment and I have major heat damage. They do not care about natural hair here. Do not come here! Beware!! Show more

I’m generally very nervous visiting the hair salon but I became comfortable with Jamilah. She was very nice, knowledgeable, and seemed to care for the... overall health of my hair. Not only was Jamilah great but Kemberly was as well. She washed my hair and informed me of everything she was doing which really set the tone for the rest of my service. There’s so much more I could say but know I made another appointment before I even walked out the door. I’m looking forward to my next visit!. Show more
