Full Service Razor Shave

The experience started out well as it was my first time with him and this location, until I started to notice a couple of things. I have top locs so I... asked for a low fade on the sides/back and line-up and mustache trim. About an hour into the cut I noticed he was revisiting certain areas he had cut already which usually isn’t a good sign. While he was cutting the back portion of my head I had to take a call that literally took 10secs. He continued to cut as I was on the phone. When he FINALLY finished I noticed my forehead lining wasn’t straight which I voiced and he said the reason was bc I was on the phone in which his colleague decided to chime in and agree that the phone was the reason my cut didn’t turn out correctly. I was confused bc I’ve never been blamed for my phone usage nor had any other barber had difficulty giving me a straight lining. Also, if you were cutting the back then how was the phone call the reason for the lining in the front not being straight? Doesn’t make sense. Then of course I get up to leave and ask him if I was good to leave and he said he didn’t see any payment which I had done so the night prior to book the appt so where’s the confusion? I’ll never go back to this particular person as it takes way too long (an hour and a half!) when other barbers usually take 40mins with better results, and he wants to blame other factors when it’s his hands that aren’t steady in cutting straight. Why did I leave when it still wasn’t fixed? Because who wants their hairline pushed back further especially when having locs. Show more

Ok to my first bad review, I understand completely. No harm done. Yet when I lift your head up and it drops back down to your phone (looking at Facebook or YouTube), and this happens at least ten times during your cut, there isn't much else I can do about that. No one else getting cut at that same time had a phone in their hand. It really makes a big difference when your body posture is straight and your head is (UP) where the barber needs it to be. Thanks for the review.
