Ma. Mechelle was so kind, patient, and gentle with my 6 and 7 year old girls. They only had negative experiences with braiding before and my 7 year ol...d is tender-headed. Ms. Mechelle helped buid their confidence and reset their minds that braids can be a good thing!! Her hands switch from gentle and slow for the "hard" parts for my girls, like parting and combing, then fast as lightning for the braids! Her braids are neat without being tight and their delicate edges weren't pulled at all. She was willing and able to work comfortably with my daughter who has a gentic hair growth disorder, and when she was done, you would never even know! She also provided me (a white adoptive mom) with so much valuable info, tips, and advice. I had chosen a style on Booksy for my tender-headed daughter thinking it was better, but once Ms. Mechelle tried, it was obvious she would not tolerate it. She switched her to a different style that took longer and cost more at no upcharge! I now know what to select for next time to keep my daughter calm and happy. She really cares about the health of hair and a client's comfort. She is a rare gem and we will be regular clients from now on! Show more
