Best hair appointment I’ve ever been to. I called in advance and Benesa was quick to pick up and answer my calls. At the appointment, she cares about ...your natural hair and is open to you communicating about how you want your hair treated. My wig was small for my head but she still made it work! First of all, I love the name of this business and the owner. She’s very sweet and kind; extremely outgoing. I appreciate how she treats her customers.... Upon receiving service, she offered me free water and also mentioned that she would like to make time to set up a snack section for her customers at no charge. I got a silk press from pampered textures and I chose this place because I’m aware of the service provider’s ethnicity and felt more comfortable going to her because I’m a natural Sister. I have received a silk press before from another business and I must admit that African business need to spend a bit more time learning how to treat natural hair. I paid $120 for this silk press. This included washing, conditioning, blow drying, straightening, and trimming. The process was excruciating. Got burnt several times, does not have ear protectors, was extremely rough with my hair when washing, conditioning, and brushing. I had to request for a detangling brush instead of a comb. The products that were used in my hair were not natural hair products. Even after my hair was conditioned, it was extremely rough to comb/brush through it. My hair is typically between 4a and 4b. I mentioned that it was for my maternity pictures and I was not asked about my preference as how low I want it cut. The main thing that discourages me from going back to pampered texture is that my hair was not properly layered to be trimmed. It looks very unprofessionally done. My hair is around shoulder length. A silk press should not cost over $100 for shoulder length. Show more

I always bring my daughter in to get her hair done and it’s usually dreaded up and hard to take down, BUT Benesa always makes it look so easy! She doe...s an amazing job with her hair. Having to take it down and detangle her hair and deal with a little girl tantrum along with braiding and washing. She just always does GREAT WORK! I don’t even mind the prices she’s definitely worth every cent of mine. Benesa is an extremely motivated tenacious HARD WORKER! Show more

I paid $210 for a 9yr old ,after being quoted a different price over the phone and explaining she was a child ! Which at the time I thought it was fin...e because u get what you pay for and that’s the hair style she really wanted it so that’s what she got . After talking to a couple other shops and understanding they could did the exact hair style for 80$ less I felt a little bamboozled but had to be fine with it because I had already paid for the service . The hair style was nice for about 3 days even after wrapping it up every night it started to look a week or so old not what i expected at all in itself . after I took her hair down I find a bald spot so highly irritated the prices do not match the services …will not be coming back sincerely: a pissed mother Show more

Hi Teajaha, it saddens me to see you leave such a terrible review. From or last text you seemed very happy with your daughter hair. You booked a child knotless braid. On July 31, You called and discussed the design you wanted done in the front's of her head. I asked for a picture of what you wanted. The picture that was send was a over the top designs that I was up front with you about. We agreed that I could freestyled her hair. The price for her hair was given before her hair was started. You asked why it was 100 more and I explained to you that the length you wanted (lower back) the design, and the wash and blow dry was going to take me much longer. On average I spend 2 maybe 3 hours on a child knotsless braids your daughter hair took 6 hours. You loved her braids and even texted me to say thank you. I’m really confused as to why you’re leaving a bad review almost a month later. We're all humans mistakes happen and when I make one, I go above and beyond to fix the issue. I’m sorry that your experience wasn’t a good one at my salon I would’ve love the opportunity to fix but unfortunately your mind seems to be made up. I wish you all the best with you daughter’s hair journey.
