My experience with Kay was extremely disappointing. My family and I, all of whom have our hair locked, drove 40 minutes in the rain and traffic on a S...aturday morning based on a personal recommendation from Instagram influencer @krismcdred, only to be completely let down. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment, but Kay didn’t come out to the lobby until 10 minutes after our scheduled time. She seemed surprised to see us, claiming she thought we were there for someone else. We had booked online for a single lock repair (a 5-minute service) but actually needed six locks repaired (our mistake, which we fully acknowledge). Kay examined my hair but then stepped away. When she returned, she told us she wouldn’t be able to help and instead referred us to her friend in the same salon. Her friend then informed us that she couldn’t see us for another 2–3 hours. Ultimately, we left without receiving any service. My thing is, she could have at least completed the single lock repair we originally booked to not only showcase her skill but fulfill the appointment. Instead, she passed us off entirely and left us with no options. Not only did we waste hours of our time, but we also didn’t received our $5 deposit back even though no service was provided. While $5 might seem small, it’s the principle. We expected professionalism and customer service and received neither. My entire family would have been lifelong customers, but this experience has ensured we won’t be returning or recommending her services to anyone. Show more
