This review is specifically regarding my type of haircut which is a combover fade. I have been going to the George Street location and the College Ave... location for the last 3.5 years. In general, all the barbers are solid at doing a fade. Where I have had variable experience is specifically the combover fade. I typically book an appointment with whoever is available when I am able to go in, and 50% of the time they will do a solid job with a comb over fade. The other 50% of the time, I have had to go to other barbershops or friends to fix their work. Once, a barber left me with a mohawk, which I did not realize was happening until the haircut was over because I cannot wear my glasses while they are cutting. I was planning to keep coming here after moving away from the area because I still work around here, but after yet another bad experience recently, I have decided I will have to find a new shop. Editing to say that this last haircut that I was dissatisfied with was not done by Jose. It was done by someone else who happened to be available. Providing a second update just to mention that True, the business owner reached out to me regarding feedback like this to try and make sure his guys are improving, which I think is why the vast majority of the guys at both shops are great at doing a fade. Not a good taper, from what usually is a solid place. Booked Kevin and had appointment confirmed but he wasn’t there when I arrived so a different ba...rber cut my hair. Asked for a skin taper starting low at the neck to a 2. Barber starts off the haircut with the skin taper half an inch above my ear.
