This review is specifically regarding my type of haircut which is a combover fade. I have been going to the George Street location and the College Ave... location for the last 3.5 years. In general, all the barbers are solid at doing a fade. Where I have had variable experience is specifically the combover fade. I typically book an appointment with whoever is available when I am able to go in, and 50% of the time they will do a solid job with a comb over fade. The other 50% of the time, I have had to go to other barbershops or friends to fix their work. Once, a barber left me with a mohawk, which I did not realize was happening until the haircut was over because I cannot wear my glasses while they are cutting. I was planning to keep coming here after moving away from the area because I still work around here, but after yet another bad experience recently, I have decided I will have to find a new shop. Editing to say that this last haircut that I was dissatisfied with was not done by Jose. It was done by someone else who happened to be available. Providing a second update just to mention that True, the business owner reached out to me regarding feedback like this to try and make sure his guys are improving, which I think is why the vast majority of the guys at both shops are great at doing a fade. Not a good taper, from what usually is a solid place. Booked Kevin and had appointment confirmed but he wasn’t there when I arrived so a different ba...rber cut my hair. Asked for a skin taper starting low at the neck to a 2. Barber starts off the haircut with the skin taper half an inch above my ear. Made an appointment online with Booksy. Showed up at and they were closed. Spent a few minutes at a business nearby and rechecjed, thinking maybe try ...were at lunch- nope. Tried to call the number that was provided and there was no answer. How do you accept an appointment not even open be open? Be careful if you book something there, you may have the same experience. Unacceptable. I had to give one star in order to post the review, but ZERO STARS! Show more
