Everyone at the salon is super friendly, so this review is only about the collagen manicure. Typically for an oil manicure I’d expect that I’d soak my... hands, and then get the cuticle remover, but figured the process was different at this salon. I asked for my nails to be shaped with the sides filed down and that didn’t happen. The collagen hand masks they used are prepackaged with some sort of fibrous cloth inside? Which didn’t do well with having polish applied, but we got through it alright. Unfortunately, after having applied top coat and waiting for it to dry, my manicurist realized the top coat was refilled with something wrong and had to start over. I picked out my color and was expecting a regular lacquer, but the manicurist came back with a gel color that wasn’t what I’d chosen. At this point I just wanted to get it done and go home. Since I didn’t want shellac/UV cure, she only used the gel base and then applied a fast dry top coat. Mixing and matching polish like this just doesn’t work well, and the top coat and polish have shrunk, leaving my edges exposed. Just wasn’t my best experience. I ended up being there for an hour and 15 minutes for a service that should have only taken 30 minutes. I won’t be back.
