I enjoyed my experience with Lauren because she’s very professional and knowledgeable she educated me through out the process of what she was doing to... my hair and why. She answered any questions I had about my loc service and gave me the confidence to start my journey. The environment has very good energy and clean.All of her staff were friendly and welcoming . Thank you, Lauren 😊 I had to come back and edit this review, although what I originally said was true and since then I’ve had time to reflect on 1. The stylist reaching out to ask can I change the stars given , not to ask what she could’ve done better.2. Her charging me 145$ in parts n labor in which I received sloppy parts different shapes, she left my nape out and it wasn’t a request of mine . I also let her know I am not tender headed so she could have made them tighter. I came in with the expectation I would receive diamond pattern starter locs small medium sized since my head is small wanted face frame. I had quite a few warnings To go but I really wanted to get hair done since it been a while. We discussed what I wanted and soon as she started she started with squares so I politely asked are you doing squares and she said yes I said I wanted diamonds as we discussed and she had the nerve to change pattern without changing the shape she started with. I also want to let anyone who is interested in getting the hair done by this stylist that she keep the rat tail comb in her head while using on your hair in between parting which is not hygienic. Have never had any stylist do this. It’s been 2 weeks and hair is growing together in the parts and loose . A young lady walked in and said “ I thought you said you didn’t do that pattern “ it look good another red flag . I see most of her clients are men so most don’t pay attention to detail and but I’m a woman and very meticulous. I will post updates pics later as I’m at work and paid for sloppy parts and no labor …! Don’t ask a customer to change how they rate you without addressing if theirs an issue.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with me. Although I don’t usually receive negative reviews about my service whether from male or female clients, I do believe that every opportunity is one for growth. As we talked the day of your appointment you made it very clear how nervous you were about starting locs, I did the best I could to make you comfortable all while explaining the process, that locs are a journey, that nothing is perfect. You were not clear on if you wanted a middle part, side part, or diamond parts but we spoke about it and I explained and made it very clear that this is a JOURNEY and changes can still happen. I explained that any changes you wanted to make regarding parts, sizing, anything could be done at your next appointment. With your soft hair texture and the weather being 115 degrees its very easy to sweat out starter locs. But you left feeling confident and happy so I was confused when a week after your appointment you edited your amazing 5 star review? If you were unhappy I’ve opened many channels of communication for reconciliation. But none was taken and I didn't find out until 18 days later that you were unhappy with your service. It looks like you just weren’t happy with your starter locs and that is ok. But bashing my business isn’t the route I would’ve chosen to take personally or professionally. Your refund has been processed and I hope you have a blessed day. Good luck on your hair journey.
