I am not somebody who often gets haircuts, or who is very picky about the way they come out. I was clear about this at the beginning of my appointment..., giving basically full creative control to my barber--mentioning only that I wanted a skin fade and trusting the mounds of 5 star reviews this shop has received. I also have almost never left a review before, but I felt this one necessary after the way I looked leaving today. I have poor vision, so I'm not easily able to tell how even or well done a haircut is immediately. I had 4-inch or so long hair to begin with, and left the barber today fairly confident in the cut I received. However, when I returned home I looked more closely, after being told by my mom I should immediately return to the shop. To my amazement, this is actually hands down the most embarrassing haircut I have ever received, with my sideburns cut completely unevenly, the back of my neck cut with a razor, and a horrifying "blend" of the shorter hair on the sides of my head to the longer hair on top. I am returning to another barber later tonight to have my head buzzed, as this is honestly completely beyond repair. There were 3 employees working, and the barber doing my hair was likely new--which is normally no issue. But his coworkers told him everything looked great prior to me leaving, helping to instill a feeling of confidence. Needless to say, I unfortunately will not be returning to Habitat Barber Shop.. nobody should walk out of your shop with you knowing they look embarrassing. I would rather you tell me you made a mistake, and buzz it then and there than pretend nothing happened. Show more
