During your head check, our clinician did find five nits and explained that this meant a lice removal appointment was recommended. We then helped schedule you for our next available opening on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., as per our policy for whenever we do identify a positive lice case. It’s not uncommon for additional nits to be found later, as lice removal was still needed. This is consistent with what we shared during your visit. Upon further investigation, it seems you cancelled your scheduled lice removal appointment on August 26 at 3:40 p.m. Our goal is always to provide families with clear, accurate information and thorough treatment options so they can move forward with confidence. We always recommend booking a lice removal appointment when you suspect lice, as it reserves 90 minutes for both diagnosis and treatment, compared to a 15-minute head check. While appointment types depend on our schedule availability, we do our best to ensure clients are no longer contagious the same day whenever possible. In your case, we offered the first step of the treatment later that afternoon, which can often help begin the process sooner even if full removal can’t be completed right away.
