I am very grateful I was guided to this excellent Acupuncturist / Healer. I had gone without acupuncture for several years. Unable to find a good fit,... after my acupuncturist of 8 years retired. I was so genuinely surprised by techniques and varied skill sets Joan offers. I love the wide range of healing knowledge she has. In my first session she removed a knee / leg pain I had ongoing for many weeks. But, this is not the 'frosting on the cake' ---in my second session she helped me release on many other levels... Including a chronic hip / thigh major scenario and an emotional heart blockage from loss. I feel like I am in a very safe place to be healed. Jane generates that calm feeling while offering healing wisdom. Show more

Honestly, Joan is the one of the best practitioners I’ve ever met. I have had CPTSD, chronic pain and depression 30+ years. And I have seen many holis...tic health/alternative medicine practitioners, (I even studied it myself in two trade schools). I am extremely happy with my service at Petaluma Acupuncture Center! I have been seeing Joan 3+ years. I have found her to be very consistent, and always a finely tuned clinician. She is so efficient and highly skilled! I am amazed at her ability to both hear me and to intuitively hone in on what is needed each visit- - from one treatment to the next. Her kindness and compassion is palpable! I’m so grateful to have found this place and her style of treatment, because I have a few different chronic conditions that can be tricky to manage. She pro...vided so much interesting information about the body and various spots she was placing the needles as they correlated with each organ or ailment I was experiencing. Needles were placed, I was given a bell to ring if I needed assistance. I was left on the treatment table, with a window open, but a heat lamp aimed ...at my back. After 30 minutes the lamp shut down, I became chilled the bell did not function. I called out for assistance but wasn’t heard for ten minutes. For future appointments I will ask to be checked every 20 minutes. 40 minutes seemed too long without status check in. Show more
