My practice specializes in therapeutic and deep tissue massage, which is noted throughout my website and booking system. Deep tissue differs from Swedish massage in that it works into deeper layers of muscle to address tension and injuries, and some post-session soreness can be normal. During your session, I checked in multiple times regarding pressure, and you indicated it was comfortable. I’m always happy to adjust pressure if a client communicates otherwise. While soreness can be expected after deep tissue work, visible bruising is unusual. If clients are prone to bruising or have related health factors, I can adjust the approach to help minimize that. For anyone unsure about deep tissue, I encourage reaching out before booking so we can determine whether this style is the right fit and customize the session to individual needs.
