We went to John for the "3 Hour Couples Instruction" massage class because he was well-reviewed online and because the format was a private rather tha...n group class. We left completely blown away; John's practice is as good or better than his most glowing reviews. From the moment we arrived John was professional but personable, a clear pro at handling sore bodies and understanding what they need to feel better, and a great teacher to boot - direct and engaging but also willing to try different methods of explaining or demonstrating something if we didn't quite get it the first time so that what he teaches actually sticks. The biggest thing I would want to say if you're considering booking with John is that we felt major benefits in the immediate term (my boyfriend and I both had a great time and spent the entire rest of the night talking about how great an experience it was), the medium term (when I entered the building I had a hard time walking up the stairs because I was so sore from the gym; when I left my legs were completely soreness-free), and the long term (we've already been enjoying using what we learned to massage each other's calves and scalps).
