I first went to get my dreads started 11-24-20 and my appointment was at 11am I got there let her know my appointment was at 11:00am she said ok and have a seat so I sit down 11:05 rolls around and she calls me back so she can wash my hair she gets t...hrough washing my hair and I sit under the dryer for 30 min because that’s what the time was set at then once the dryer turns off and I sat in the drying chair for another hour because she starts doing someone else’s hair then she tells me to come to the washing sink get my hair rinsed out and sit in that seat for a minute I didn’t get my hair started on till 2:30 and I had to be at work at 4:00pm that day fast forward to my 30 day re twist appointment on 12-24-20 I was in there for 5 hours and 10 minutes because she had started re-twisting them but then had her mom who is still learning finish my hair but then when she came back in there she had seen that her mom didn’t twist them right so she had to take most of them out and re-twist them my appointment was at 12:00pm this day I didn’t leave the salon till 5:17pm Update Comment : This is review was written by my son of whom account this is under NOT his mother...Since you are addressing me (his mother) I will respond to you...Communication is always key with any service...I understand about having other clients as well...If you knew you was going to have someone else practice learning on YOUR clients head you should’ve let that be known...His hair looks good (after you had to go back and fix the problem...Which caused him to be there longer) don’t get me wrong but one thing you wrote and did wrong was the size...When you originally did his hair that was NOT micro locs...Today when you retwisted them you did them smaller than what he asked for, which is why he now has micro locs...He showed you a picture (which you responded saying oh so you want medium size locs) that I was present for the first time...And we also took pictures of what you did the first time which was the right size...Today, not sure how you got the concept you got...This is/was my sons review and now this is my response to you because I didn’t write it your client did...

Mam .. if you have the ability next time address the timing with myself or anyone working on your sons hair. We strive to deal with each client accordingly. Due to the first time your son received a Loc starter kit which requires multiple washes and deep conditioning and treatment, due to the fact that he would not be able to wash his hair for months which makes appointments timely.. then the size Locs your son choose was micro Locs which again takes time to size and twist with only 1/2 of inch of hair. Not only that ,but due to my cost being as reasonable as they are , I do manage more than one client at a time . Which we are striving to find cost efficient ways for our clients ,and myself to cut down on that multitasking between clients. Please advice we appreciate all feed back so we can adjust price with service and vice versa. I do use complimentary services as training, because it’s at no cost to you, nor is a fee for this service in the original cost, it is a completely free service so I do use that to teach others , but I won’t compromise the style, which I corrected in a more timely manner which was roughly 30-40 mini Locs that needed to be corrected. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for feed back.

Latoya is the hair guru. She is very professional and a master at her craft. The boutique and its stylist make you feel at home with the calming tranquil atmosphere. Booked my appointment. Received a confirmation through Booksy and my email before the appointment and even got a reminder of the appointment. Showed up for said appointment and Latoya never showed up or called me to let me know.
