Javy keeps it real. I came in from central Massachusetts with a “vision”. Javy burst my bubble.real quick. . I say this in the most appreciative way. . He took one look at my “vision image” on my phone. And then he took one look hair’s bald pat...ches from messing around those long, long with that come down to the seat. he looked at my “vision”, and at the bald patches. Then he handed me back my phone looked me in the face an said “No.” He didnt mince words, He didn’t say it with an attitude. He was just keeping it 100 . He explained he could do most of my vision, but he’d have to craft the the rest of my hairstyle to disguise/eliminate the bald spots from the braids until my hair grew back. 👍🏾. His straightforwardness AND having a plan truly impressed me. At other shops I have to keep my hard eye on male barbers. They forget they’re dealing with a *FEMALE with a fade.*. I don’t want to be edged up or shaped up and wind up looking mannish. Ive cried in many a barber’s chair over a too mannish cut. Javy thought the same way As a woman, I personallyI prefer a natural hair line. When he acknowledged that, I sat back in Javy’s chair and said “make ir do what it do” and didn’t look back. We told stories and kee-kee-keed. Javy is the king of his shop. He makes people feel at ease, like I was getting my hair cut in a barber shop/living room. He had ideas to make the hair cut better. I told him go for it. , He could also envision what my haircut would look as it grew back. I 100% trusted him. My trust paid off. No edge up, no shape up. No mannishness. Plus I can see this cut will look better and better over time. Phenomenal barber. Thank you Javy, I’ll be back after Three King’sm Day
