Very personable and loved the wash. Less than impressed with the final product. I know actual style and desired picture will not match but I do expect... some resemblance. $140 for what I got is crazy. Now that I think about it, I didn’t even get my hair trimmed like I paid to. Show more

One of the best hair washes I’ve ever received, I was ready to go to sleep in the washing bowl. The upsetting part to me and the reason for the 4 star...s, was that I wasn’t a regular client. I was visiting from out of town and needed my natural hair done. After the blow dry, she noticed that my hair was thin at the ends and stated that I would need it cut to be healthy and for it to continue grow. I simply started that my hair thins out in the winter, not sure why but it has always done that. She showed me what it looked like in the mirror and how much needed to be cut off for it to continue to grow. I said ok, but I’m not a regular client, I don’t stay in the state for her to maintain it like she described AND I needed to mentally prepare myself before cutting so much off, so I just wanted my ends clipped. (And I removed my glasses so she could finish.) Once she’s started to style my hair, I could feel that the length of where the flat irons were ending was not where my natural hair was before. I asked if she cut my hair and she stated I left her no choice, she couldn’t let me walk around with dead hair thinking it was going to grow longer. I TOTALLY disagree with this. I understand that hair is her speciality but if I, a PAYING client, ask you not to do something on MY head, I expect for what I request to be done NOT what the stylist thinks is the best option. As it was stressed in my appointment multiple times, I’m from out of state. My stylist in the state that I live in maintenances my hair hair completely different from how she would if she was my stylist, so I didn’t want to get it cut at that moment. Also I felt that any issues or concerns that she brought to my attention, I could have went back to my original stylist to discuss or found a different stylist who I felt comfortable enough to make that cut for me when I was READY. I received multiple complements on my hair, but as the client, I feel I didn’t receiving what I ask for. I was given what the stylist thought was best for me. Update: just because I did not give you 5 star or I wasn’t 100% happy on what I received, DOESNT mean that YOU are a horrible stylist. But since you responded so unprofessionally: I’m a grown woman. Your JOB was to give me what I requested and what I paid for. It is not your job to go and make decisions for paying clients. You do that for people you are responsible for. You are not responsible for me; you basically did free work that was not ask for that could have been kept. That’s like me telling you I want to dye my hair pink and you go and dye it red because you think it would look better on my skin tone. You didn’t give me what I asked for. THATS THE ISSUES. Just because you gave a client advice on your specialty, doesn’t not mean that they have to take that advice. You are not the ONLY person that’s specialize in hair. I could’ve have want to go to someone to see if they said the same thing before you went and got scissor happy. And let’s be straight up the money part was and NEVER will be an issue. If I would have requested the $80 service that’s what you should have done. I paid for a basic service which was $65. I didn’t asked for you to go out you way to do what you did. That was a choice that you made on MY head WITHOUT my permission. And based off your responses you don’t have to worry about me coming back, and I hope future clients read this review before coming there to. There’s was no bashing on my end but I want them to see how unprofessional your responds was when a client didn’t agree with your choices on their head. Show more

I've been specializing in natural hair for over 10 years. It's my DUTY to keep it all the way forward with you about you're hair. When my name and hands are on something as such as hair that I love ultimately so much… YES I am going to make the most healthiest choice for you because obviously you haven’t‼️ EVERY single last client of mine TRUST my process and yes they consistently come see me‼️ NOT to mention $65 ONLY gets you a wash, blow and go! I did u a favor because with a trim you're bill should have been $80! Sorry you wasn’t grown enough for the most healthiest decision for you’re hair. When it start growing back healthier with all the tactics I’ve given you, try NOT reaching out sweet heart‼️
