Hard Gel/ BIAB ON NATURAL NAILS Gel French

I am very far from a nail expert, and I can acknowledge I should have done more research but I saw this artist was well rated and very close to my hom...e. I was sure I was getting engaged and I wanted to have my best set ever for the most important manicure I would ever have. More than a week prior, I sent her multiple inspiration photos indicating I wanted extended chrome nails (Hailey Beiber inspired). She told me to book builder gel and chrome powder in order to achieve the look. When I got there, it became clear to me that if I did builder gel I would only be working with my natural nails so they would not be the same length. She could have told me this in our prior communications. When I told her I could do acrylic to achieve that look, she told me I would be “taking my chances” with them breaking. I had a Tuesday appointment for a Saturday engagement so I listened to her. When I asked her for her expert opinion on anything, including the color she said she couldn’t advise me on anything at all because she had bad reviews in the past. When we got the base done and it was time for the chrome powder, she had 7 and we tried 4. She agreed that the powders she had didn’t look good. At that point we axed the chrome look which really upset me because at that point, the length I wanted wasn’t happening and neither was the color. I asked her what we could do to salvage the appointment and she said “well I already did the builder gel and the color” so she was off the hook for anything else I could of wanted. I had to ask for a French tip (which I paid an extra $20 to do). This isn’t what I wanted for such a big occasion and I left the appointment so sad. If you don’t know the difference between builder gel, gel x, apres gel, dip powder, and tips and need help making informed decisions DO NOT book her. I could have gotten a regular French gel manicure anywhere for less than $90 and ended up with the same product. The builder gel she did on me chipped in the corner of my thumb the same day I got them. If you want to feel special for a special occasion, do not take your chances here. Also no cuticle care at all. Show more

Aweee, so sad , you came in with a nasty attitude to begin with. Let's start there. I let it slide because I thought maybe you were just in a bad mood, which is fine. I was only there to provide a nail service. 🩵 i offered plenty of options that you didn't want. You stated you didn't want ACRYLIC because you normally don't get your nails done so I suggested BUILDER GEL which is a more natural look vs. Fake nails. You also said you didn't mind it if they were different lengths because you didn't want to chance it breaking with the length. Anyone that have come to know everytime I'm done with a step I always ask IS THIS GOOD? Do we need to fix anything,, that means LENGTH,, SHAPE,, ANYTHING you have a chance to speak.. & you did ! You were happy with each step and never voiced NOT one concern even though I reassured you I WILL NOT GET UPSET IF I need to fix anything, because I wanted you to love your nails,, after each step you reassured me that they were GREAT. You know this isn't true. But, Since we're being so very honest, every second of doing your nails, you made me feel uncomfortable like you didn't want to be there, before I even started. It's very sad because when you left you said you were VERY happy. But it's all good.🩵 Also please before you go to anyone else, please make sure your hygiene is up to part. It was very hard to focus on your nails with the body odor you came in with. I hope you find the tech that's right for you.🦋
