Overall, this was an unprofessional and unethical experience with poor communication. I wouldn't recommend this stylist. I booked an appointment for ...my son at least 2 weeks prior to the appointment. At the time of booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit was required. There's also an option to add a tip. I opted to add a tip because I was satisfied with the service provided previously & at the time of service, I'd pay the remaining balance. After 7:30 p.m., the day before the appointment, I received a text message with instructions on how to prep the hair, which was to wash and blowdry it. A couple of hours later, the same evening, I opted to reschedule the appointment via text. At the time of the appointment, I received a text from the stylist about coming to the appointment with directions. I resent the text I sent the evening before. I didn't receive a response. Ten days later, I inquired about rescheduling the appointment. The following day, I received a response that included a reminder about her cancellation policy of 24 - 48 hours before the appointment or the deposit is forfeited. And, she would be willing to look for another appointment, but a deposit would be required. I was fine with forfeiting the deposit because I was aware of the policy, but I asked if the tip I paid would also be forfeited for a service my son didn't receive. She responded with, "How about I send you back your $20 tip and we don't have to carry on with any services. My time is not free and someone else could have had that slot had I known in a timely manner that you were gonna cancel. Please send your CashApp Tag and I will refund you your tip and Have a nice Day." I responded with,"I agree and understand. Thank you for sending the $20 back. Have a great evening!" In addition, I sent my CashApp tag. The following day, I sent another text because there was no acknowledgement that the text with my CashApp was received. This was on 9/18. On 9/24, I sent a CashApp request for the $20 tip. Due to the lack of communication, duration to send back the tip, and unprofessionalism, I don't expect to receive a refund for the tip. Word of advice: DO NOT PAY A TIP IN ADVANCE! Every provider isn't an ethical provider. Show more
