I reached out to all my clients to adjust time due to my first client booking incorrectly and another being late due to traffic. All clients still agreed to come in. After a client arrived, I spoke to her immediately and then consulted with her & her son. She asked about a wash for him. I suggested a detox considering she mentioned a sticky feel of products and buildup in his hair. A clean foundation is key. There was also a lot of lint in his hair that she was concerned about. Detoxes remove dirt and product buildup, but lint needs to be combed out or colored. I had run out of detox products, so I asked if she was comfortable getting them, and I would discount the service from $35 to $15. She agreed but then took an hour & 20 mins to get the products and eat, wasting most of our detoxing time. His locs were small-sized, but she booked a regular service, which has an upcharge of $45 (Regular Retwist is $100, Small-sized is $145). After getting funds, there was no additional upcharge. I suggested instant locs (a crochet method of locking hair) with a discounted upcharge of $100 to remove the lint and restart his journey. This would involve combing them out. She stated she would go home to comb his locs out immediately since the journey had little progress since December. I work to the best of my abilities and treat all customers with respect. Services can run behind at times, and I ask for patience on those days.
