James has been such a magnificent influence on our little one Brock. Brock has autism and didn't have a haircut for 7 years as he was so frightened. W...e started slow and took Brock to meet James, visit the salon and get a feel for things. Next step we booked a superstars haircut and James was wonderful, slowly going at Brock's pace, involving him in the process, distracting him with talk, and letting him feel all the cutting tools. Slowly small lengths were chopped off using scissor cuts. Today only 4 months later, Brock had his first haircut using clippers and he no longer needs superstar appointments because he is so comfortable with James. He looks forward to hairdresser visits now! From a child who couldn't handle change, feared haircuts and strong sensory difficulties around the neck, he is now loving his time in the salon with James. James is honestly amazing, patient, kind, gentle and super respectful. We will not go anywhere else! Show more
