Cut and Perm

My 14 year old son went in for a perm, received some waves on the front of his head and no “perm” on the sides and the back. Unfortunately, my son agr...eed to what was done. Sadly I should not have expected that he would have been given expert advice. Instead my son was baited to agreeing to what was being done. Perming just the front and not the sides or back is NOT what he wanted. The barber should have told him that he needed to use smaller rollers to provide a tighter curl to ensure the perm would take. Dan has offered to re perm his hair but at this point The perm damage has been done to his hair and we’ll wait some time before making another attempt with a different barber. I wanted to share our experience so others will learn from it. You live and learn and we’ll just have to make sure the person doing my son’s hair next time has his best interests in mind. $200 wasted. My response - Dan, when my kid came in for a perm he did not ask for you to just perm the top. He asked for a loose perm with a fade. If a loose perm wouldn’t work, I would have expected some sort of advice to be given and you did not do that. Instead you just kept confirming with him what you were doing. He had no idea how bad it would look. He was hoping you would guide him. You didn’t. And that’s fine. Everything I wrote was the truth. I don’t want my money back. I just want people to be aware that they should know exactly what they want and should not go in expecting someone to give them advice. I wish you well. You get what you pay for?? Nope, certainly not the case. $200 should have gotten my son more than the top of his head permed. And I only assumed the back and sides didn’t “hold” because the back and sides were still straight. I thought you would have permed them. I guess I shouldn’t have assumed that. Cause either you didn’t perm it or it didn’t hold? Whatever the reason his sides and back are still straight. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Show more

This isn't accurate, this woman wants to cause harm towards our business. She should have done her research he asked for a loose wavy perm with a taper which is popular with boys his age. All our previous customers have been satisfied with our perm service. He left with a smile on his face and specifically said it’s what he wanted when his mother criticized it for not being curly and wavy instead, After being unable to basically get the service for free you want to leave negative reviews to impact our business, if you can’t afford it you shouldn’t have come. Cheap people with cheap habits. Edit: if you weren’t there how do you know what I told him? I explained the entire process to him before we did it and barely spoke through the duration of the service. Again he left smiling cheek to cheek. You tried to lie and say it didn’t hold then changed your story. Stop assuming what I told him or did when u weren’t there, it’s also not my responsibility to convince clients to do other things when they specifically request a certain look. You get what you pay for. Good luck.
