I had an excellent experience. Several barbers I have known recently retired, so I have been in the lookout for a new one. The appointment system wor...ks smoothly, and Natalie was ready within 5 minutes of the appointed time. I was impressed so see her disinfecting the equipment between client, something not all barbers do. My haircut was excellent (my wife agrees!), so I will certainly be going back again. I had a great chat while Natalie was cutting my hair. The shop is on the second floor of an office building in an office park, so a bit unconventional of a location, but is very nice inside. She is walking distance from my house, but if you are driving there is plenty of parking. She is located very centrally (geographically speaking) in Ottawa, so ideal for people from Merivale, Barrhaven, Riverside South or even farther afield. The price was a little bit higher than my other recent experiences ($40), whereas only a few years ago my barber regularly charged $20, and my most recent one charged $30. But I think the price is fair given the quality, the lack of barbers for men in the market, and when compared to what my wife has to pay for a hairdresser. Note that she only takes debit or cash ... no credit cards. This is consistent with other barbers I have recently used, but be advised. This was my first experience with a female traditional barber. I have had my hair cut, not very satisfactorily, at unisex chains before by women, but Natalie, the Pink Barber, is a true traditional barber for men. Don't be deterred. My only concern is that reviews like this might end up driving so much business to her that it might be hard to get an appointment! So plan ahead ... Show more
