    Raynor Massage - Introductory Offer

    This session is for new, local clients and is a great, cost-effective way to experience Raynor Massage. You can choose an appointment lasting from between one and two hours. This initial appointment includes completion and analysis of a Health Questionnaire with a consultation to discuss your individual needs and explain further the Raynor Massage process. Usually this will be around 15 minutes consultation with the remaining time for the massage treatment but can vary depending on the clients circumstances. Please note that this offer is for permanent residents of the local area and is not available to tourists or those visiting the area for work reasons. Anyone who isn’t a local resident should book the regular Deep Tissue Massage appointment for returning clients.

    Spinal Manipulation / Massage (Returning Client)

    Dave offers Spinal Manipulation, combined with massage and stretching as a follow up session to any client who has previously visited for a massage appointment. This targeted treatment can be performed through loose clothing and doesn’t always require oil to be applied. It’s purpose is to cater for clients who need a shorter, more cost effective, follow up treatment to target a specific area. This session will usually involve being loosened up with massage and stretching before being adjusted (cracked) using Spinal Manipulation What is Spinal Manipulation? It’s an ancient therapy that combines moving and ‘jolting’ joints with massage and general physical therapy. It’s commonly used to treat conditions such as back, shoulder and neck pain as well as to help with headaches. It’s purpose is to relieve pressure on the joints, improve nerve function and to reduce inflammation with the goal of reducing or eliminating pain and increasing the quality of movement. Manipulating the joints helps the synovial fluid (which can be thought of as the bodies natural lubricating system) to lubricate the tendons and affected joints resulting in less pain and easier movement due to less friction. Some people also refer to this treatment as being ‘cracked’ or ‘adjusted’ and often associate this form of therapy as something that a Chiropractor or Osteopath may do. The reality is that forms of spinal manipulation have been performed by massage therapists for thousands of years, certainly long before the profession of ‘Chiropractor’ or ‘Osteopath’ existed.
