I had a okay experience, johana did their big special for me and I was greatly appreciative because I booked a very late appointment that went into th...e next day .. the night I came I paid for everything * the total she asked me to before I left* . The next day she mentioned that she didn’t charge me a additional amount and I was confused because I actually thought the total I paid was correct . Never the less we did agree it would be okay for now .. since my appointment there has been multiple attempts to charge my card , johana attempted to request money from me and last night SLBS charged a $77 dollar cancellation fee to my card and I don’t even live in that state since the week I had the service . I loved my service unlike the few people who didn’t appreciate their service however I don’t appreciate what’s been happening ever since !! Never charge my card without permission.. if I have to I will take this up with Booksy ! 😞 Show more

Classic Lashes

This was my first time going to Carol/this business. I got the full classic set. I have a person I usually go to for lashes, but wanted something clos...er to home and found Self Love Beauty Services through Groupon. PROS: My lashes looked nice and they’ve held on relatively well considering how I am as a person. I showered the same day I got my lashes done & they survived. I planted & mulched trees in the rain the 2nd day I had my lashes on & they survived. I traveled through NY, Toronto, Pennsylvania & Maryland, with full days walking around outside and a few nights out & they survived. I’m also a really sweaty person, but barely any lashes fell off. I’d say that’s a win :) Also, Carol was super sweet. It has been 1 week & 2 days since my appointment and what you see in the photo posted is what they’re currently looking like. I shampoo & brush every morning & night (using shampoo from my usual lasher, not purchased from Self Love). CONS: These lashes are a bit longer than my normal sizes that I get so it was itchy at times since I have small, Asian eyes. There were a few times during the session where my real lashes were pulled on, which no one would be thrilled about, but Carol was apologetic & I know it wasn’t intentional. There seemed to be a struggle at the front end, unsure what was happening, so the session ended up being 3 hours, if not a tad more. That’s much longer than what I’m used to, so it was just hard to lay in the same position for such a long time. There were also some places where I could see the glue immediately after getting them done, and now especially, that they’re starting to wear off. Still giving a 4 star because she was super sweet and my lashes are still hanging on even after all I’ve been doing. I really appreciate the attention to detail you took during the session.
