Human hair should not be dipped or set with hot water, as this can damage the strands. Instead, it is best maintained using cooler water to help preserve moisture, seal the cuticle, and maintain its natural luster. The use of hot water is only appropriate for synthetic hair. During your appointment, I did offer a solution to wash the hair in order to break down the braid gel and mousse that were used in styling. However, I advised against using hot water for the reasons mentioned above. Additionally, before you left, I made it clear that if you had any questions, concerns, or needed adjustments, I would be more than willing to assist. I also offered to wash the hair for you if you were not comfortable doing so yourself. I followed up with a message after your 1st and only text about the stiffness but did not receive a response. I would have welcomed the opportunity to address your concerns directly and work with you to ensure you were satisfied with the outcome. Open communication would have allowed us to create a plan tailored to your needs and provide further guidance on proper maintenance. I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience.
