It took 8 hours instead of 5.5. I changed my appointment time to 7am from 11am to make a 3pm appointment and while I appreciate her accommodating me b...ut I was late for my appointment at 3 pm because it took so long. I wouldn't be leaving a review if I had actually gotten what I wanted but the braids are way too big for the small knotless I paid for. She showed me a picture of the first braid and it looked much smaller than the braids ended up being. The braids are stiff and do not taper off and are beginning to come undone and there are so many flyaways. I paid $210 and I just feel like I wasted my money and my time. Im sure she's a good hairstylist but I don't think box braids are her strength. RESPONSE: Everyone I know uses Xpressions Kankelon Hair and I have never had any problems with it. In regards to me rushing you, I don't know how you felt rushed when it took you 8 hours and you scheduled it for 5.5 hours on your site. I had informed you my appointment was at 3 when I called to reschedule, perhaps you don't remember. What I think happened was that you thought you could take your time and when I reminded you of my appointment you realized all that time you had wasted. In regards to me not saying anything to you...what would you have done? Given me my money back? Apologized? I was already late and had paid you. You didn't even offer me a mirror because you knew you messed up. You took it upon yourself to make my braids bigger and said nothing, not to mention, charged me the small braid price. And as I stated in my original review, I wouldn't have bothered to leave a review of I had gotten what I wanted. You admit that you made the braids bigger and did shoddy work so regardless of the time it took, you didn't give me what I asked for. 2nd Response: ...So you didn't offer me a mirror because I was in such a rush but had me take pictures after? Bffr. I had a negative experience and left my review. You're the one who came on here invalidating my experience, trying to make it sound like I'm making things up/not telling the full story. Very nice and great service, however I’m not liking the end result and I didn’t get to see it until I left. I should have asked for a mirror to look a...t it first. The parts don’t look right to me and they are supposed to be honeycomb. The braids are stiff and they only lay one way which makes it difficult to style in a ponytail or bun. I expected braids that aren’t so tight at the root but it’s not what I wanted for my birthday. They don’t look good on me at all. I asked about a redo but was told she would at a discounted price. I shouldn’t have to repay if I don’t like the product and I’m not even asking for a refund but it’s the principle. She wasn’t rude so I respect that but I work too hard for my money to not be happy with the results. Show more
