I've known Paulie for a couple of decades now and have gotten cuts from him since we were in High School. His skills with a blade, shears, and trimmer...s are unprecedented. I always heard of this shop growing up. It’s been around for years. And there is a reason why and everyone should know. I booked an appointment onl...ine for my son and let me say. Wow now only was booksy easy to use but the parking at this barbershop is great no trouble. The shop is amazing full of talent. Paulie definitely has exceeded the experience for both my son and I. The shop is very vintage and has a lot of history. Was an amazing experience getting to see a few celebrities in there as well. I have wavy/curly hair and I have struggled in the past to find a barber that can cut my hair the way I have wanted. Ever since I discovered Sam's  a... couple months ago they've cut my hair just how I have wanted every single time. They really listen to what you want, whether you show them a photo of a style you'd like or you describe it to them in words. All the barbers are really kind and the shop has a very pleasant atmosphere. It's the type of barber shop where folks who just got their hair cut will linger for an extra 10 minutes or more carrying on a conversation with the barbers and the customer that just sat down in the chair to get their hair cut. I'll be going to Sam's for my haircuts for years to come :) Show more
They were able to accommodate my two boys same day. It was our first time here. Everyone was friendly. My boys are in that stage were they no longer w...ant mom choosing their haircuts. Paul was able to hear them out and execute just what what they wanted. Thank you! Show more

Paul is the best for what he does! He cut my hair and gave me his best from doing the best! The shop is quaint and welcoming!

Great old fashion barber shop. You can't go wrong and the clients, near and far, all appreciate this gem in Alhambra. I'm sad to report that Sam Artin...o passed away on 9/19/23. He was a good man. Sam's still has the same great barbers plus new new operator Paulie. Still great cuts and service. I switched to Al Garcia (chair next to Sam's). Al does a great job. Highly recommended. Show more
My husband has been going to Sam's barber for a few years now. Sam knows what he is doing and provides quality hair cut. Today, we took our almost 2 y...ear old son for his first haircut and Sam was amazing.  Sam provided us with clear guidance for a successful haircut without shedding a single tear or tantrum. Sam has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. I have seen many many people getting their hair cut in his shop, people of various ethnic and racial b...ackgrounds. As a Black man, I have always felt comfortable in Sam's chair and in his shop. I compliment him about all of the fundraising he does for many different organizations. My wife and I go to dinner with Sam and his wife and truly enjoy ourselves! On two occasions, Sam gave me great advice and even offered to help me get the issues resolved. We have developed a good friendship. I know that it hurts Sam to be called a racist because he I know that he loves people. Show more
My husband and 3 year old son have been going to Sam's Barber shop for close to 2 years now. We have experienced nothing but kindness and respect. Sam... is the most patient Barber with my son. There are two other barber's. Both gentlemen and very respectful and give good looking hair cuts! My son and husband always have the most freshest cut. Never had a bad hair cut or bad time. I absolutely enjoy and would highly recommend this Barber shop!!! Few tips, call first make an appointment. They have their hours posted and bring cash! Show more
