**DO NOT GO TO EMILY NAILS SPA** The atmosphere was in need of some serious renovations and more life. She had about ten stations but Abby is the only... employee and owner. The service for acrylic 3D nails took 4 hours. My appt was at 9:30am and we finished at 1:30pm. Then we got started on my jelly pedicure which took an additional 2 hours. During my acrylic nail service, she used a cheap brand of glue as well as a very small tube of UV gel for the 3D effect, which she had to cut through with a scissors because she was running out. I was not pleased but I am a very kind person and was also tired of sitting there all day, resulting in me saying yes every time she asked if I was okay with the way my nails looked. I just wanted to leave at this point but I had already given a deposit and did not want to lose my “non-refundable” deposit nor did I want to have a confrontational situation, so I decided to go through with the service. It seems like this was her first time doing 3D nails. She kept wiping it off and redoing it but I just keep my focus on the TV because what can I do? I should’ve walked out… On my toes, I did a simple gel color. I asked for DND 744-caramel corn color from her color palette. She got me an off brand gel color that was close but was not a DND nail color. By now, the time was 1:56pm and I just wanted to leave and her next person was sitting in the chair next to me waiting as Abby was running behind which added pressure, I’m sure! She finished, I threw my shoes on paid $196 total for the services and went home. I did not tip her because I simply was not happy. When I got home, I noticed bubbles under my gel colored toes and reached out to her for a refund as I was leaving to another country for vacation for the next 8 days, I also traveled 30 mins to go see her because I follow her page on Instagram and she has a decent profile which led me to her. I’m also open to new artistry but for $196 I expect the artist to stand by their work and she was not. She wanted me to come back to a do-over of the two big toes only and my pinky toe color was already peeling so I said no to please just refund. Here’s what she said, “I'm sorry you were unhappy with your service. I mentioned that I have time to fix your toenail for you. Regarding the nails, I asked multiple times if you were satisfied, and you confirmed. Whenever you wanted something fixed, I addressed it. Please note that, as stated in my policy, which you agreed to when booking online, services are non-refundable. However, I can offer you $20, which is the cost of a polish change for the two big toes.” I expected a better response towards rectifying this situation being that I spent $196 and spent 6 hours in her shop. I asked her to refund me 80% and still keep 20% for her labor. Her product was not top tier and it showed. Lastly, my nails started falling off mid vacation, in another country(which is the reason I could not go back to fix it), only 3 days later. By the 5th day all the nails had detached and I was able to pull them off with much ease. Not worth the money, the time or the experience. If you want your nails done right DO NOT GO TO EMILY NAILS SPA! Show more

Gel Pedicure

This was my second time getting my pedicure done at Emily's and I enjoyed my experience. The first time was okay but the nail tech was new and did not... do that great with painting my toes. I thought about not going back but decided to extend some grace since the Google reviews were positive. The nail tech I had this second time was amazing. The massage was excellent and my nails came out very neat and well done. I'll be returning and can hopefully request that same nail tech; I unfortunately did not get her name. Also, I wish they would let customers know in advance that they only accept cash now. I rarely carry cash and I was able to pay with my debit card after my first pedicure. However, after this second appointment, I was told they would only accept cash payments. That was an inconvenience, but fortunately, there was an ATM close by that I could use. I hope they consider bringing back card payments in the future. Show more
