I just wanted to give a shout out to David and his high level of customer service. I was in town for my brother’s wedding and David did not disappoint.... Not only did he give me a great haircut, but a great conversation. I recommend David and his shop to anyone in the area. If I lived in the Columbus area, I would be in the chair every four weeks. Overall, we had a terrible experience. The goal of the cut was to go from long hair to short because it gets tangled easily and is difficult to brush.... I told the barber ahead of time that my son was apprehensive about the hair cut - he’s 9 and has some sensory issues. The barber started with a comb and when my son was vocal about it hurting he continued with no acknowledgement of his discomfort. As my son was holding back tears, I asked is they had a brush to use instead of the comb. It was clear that the barber was inconvenienced by this and instead of communicating like an adult, he proceeded to stay annoyed and give my son a terrible cut that looked nothing like the picture we had shown him. In the middle of the cut, I noticed that my son’s face was covered in tiny hairs and it was getting in his eyes. Instead of pausing to wipe the hair off of his face, he told my son That it would only make it worse if he kept rubbing his eye. I had to intervene and ask him if I could get the hair off of his face. Again, it was clear that this was an inconvenience for him. The cut he did give was incomplete and not blended in anyway. I was too upset to address the experience with the owner in person so I called when I got home. I was told the situation warranted the barbers actions and how he treated my son. There was no offer to fix the cut or even any acknowledgment that the barber could have done something differently. Needless to say, I do not recommend Bullitt Barber shop. Show more
