After my previous hairdresser relocated, I was on the hunt for a new stylist. My friend told me about the salon and I booked without hesitation! I lov...ed my experience. The salon atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Kristian was able to quickly identify my hair needs just by looking at my scalp and recommended a treatment. She took her time (washing, detangling, blow drying, and styling) and gave my hair lots of attention. She provided me with some great product recommendations for myself, niece and nephew, as well suggestions on how to better preserve my curls. I found a new stylist in Kristian and will be returning in 2.5 weeks for my next appointment Show more

Sew-in w/ Closure

My mother booked this appointment for me so im leaving the review. I booked a sew-in appointment for 10:30-11 AM and arrived early at 10:18. The styl...ist told me she was five minutes away, but she didn’t show up until 11. Since I was getting my hair done for my birthday party and had other appointments scheduled, this was a bit frustrating. At the beginning of the appointment, I asked to add a closure last minute, and she was nice enough to give me a discount for it, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience and results were incredibly disappointing. Despite sending her a reference photo well in advance, the final result looked nothing like what I asked for. I wanted big, soft 1920s-style curls and instead got tight ringlets. On top of that, she placed the part on the wrong side. My closure had baby hairs, but the style I wanted didn’t, and instead of simply cutting them or gelling them back, her attempts to style them were just bad. The salon environment didn’t help either—people inside were being extremely loud, almost yelling, which made the experience even more frustrating. When I pointed out that the style was wrong, she blamed it on the quality of the hair I brought, even though it was 100% unprocessed human hair. If a specific brand or type was required for the style I asked for, she could have specified that beforehand. Instead, I ended up with a look I didn’t want, was late to my makeup appointment because of the delay, and now—just one day later—my closure is already lifting. The earliest she can fix it is days after my complaint, which is super inconvenient. Her other solution? That I buy new hair and we try again. I already spent nearly $300, plus the cost of the hair I just bought—I shouldn’t have to spend more to fix something that should have been done right the first time. Overall, the small discount was the only positive thing about this experience. Everything else—from the lack of professionalism to the completely incorrect style—was a huge disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend it. Show more

This was THE BEST experience I’ve had in a salon in such a long time. From the immediate service, to the most amazingggg wash and condition, all the w...ay down to the detangling, straightening, and trimming process it was all done with such care for my hair that I haven’t felt in a long time. Kristian has become my permanent go to for a silk press with her amazing work and customer service, her and her mom made me feel very comfortable like I’ve been going to them for forever. 10/10 chefs kiss!
