I have been getting my hair silk-pressed for years and this has never happened. My hair is extremely thick and it’s hard to find a stylist that wants to take their time with it. If you don’t care about your natural curl pattern retuning, even halfway, then this stylist work is fine, but if you care about the integrity of your hair then no.“ Show more

Valerie Whidbee: ”Hi, let me first start by saying I do apologize for not explaining in detail the service that you booked and received. You actually booked for an Express blowout. Not a silk press. The Express blowout is by “Pure Brazilian”. It gives the results of a keratin treatment but doesn’t last as long. I take full accountability for not explaining in detail the service that you had chosen. For any other of my potential customers. The Express Blowout is a form of Keratin treatment that does not have the longevity of a Keratin treatment. Keratin in found in your hair and nails. Your curl pattern is ultimately altered by heat because of the amount of times I go over your hair with the flatiron. A silk press is a shampoo, blow dry and I flat iron. It is a totally different service.“
