I recently had my first appointment at Shonda Renee’ Studios, and I can’t say enough good things - 5 out of five stars is the only rating that truly f...its! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and impeccably in order. Soft music played in the background and the comfortable seating area felt more like a cozy lounge than a salon. Shonda greeted me with a genuine smile and offered me a few moments to settle in before we began. I was slightly delayed for my first appointment due to heavy traffic. I did call ahead to let Shonda know, and she was very understanding, as well as calm, kind, and incredibly patient. When I arrived, I went straight back to the styling chair with no wait at all. As someone who usually keeps my hair and braids or other protective styles, I was seeking a stylist who could guide me on maintenance treatments between braiding appointments. After reviewing her portfolio on Booksy and reading the glowing client comments, I knew I’d made the right choice and she didn’t disappoint. My wash, deep condition, blow dry, and trim were handled with such efficiency that the entire service took nearly the same amount of time it took for me to drive across the river! Shonda was done in under 40 minutes. Despite the speed, every step felt thorough and personalized. Shonda’s expertise shone through as she assessed my hair’s needs, recommended the perfect treatments, and executed each step flawlessly. She’s professional yet approachable, making it easy to ask questions and feel confident in her recommendations. I left the studio, not only with beautifully refreshed hair, but also with the assurance that I’ve found someone who truly respects both my time in my hair care goals.
