I had all virgin hair and haven’t had my hair dyed in 4 years. My regular stylist is fully booked. I knew about Sammi but she’s booked until May. Kat ...was available so I booked my appointment with her since I have two big family events coming up this month. I live in Orange County but I thought I would give Posh Studio a try. I showed Kat the photos I wanted done (they’re from my regular hair stylist) and it was a 7 hour process. Kat was really good at haircuts! I love love love my haircut with layers! The color looked good inside the salon but once I got in my car to try and take a selfie I noticed my hair was more bronze/auburn? The next day I tried to take photos in different natural lighting and angles. I even had my husband take photos outside for me. My hair looks more on the brunette/auburn side than blonde. I messaged Kat on IG to see if it’s a lighting thing and she said yes it could be and that I had virgin hair. I was instructed to let her know after a few washes. I appreciate her help as I wanted to be sure, since balayage service is expensive. Update: after one wash it was even more auburn bronze color… Show more

Inaccurate pricing, unprofessional customer service and paid more than I expected, Kat didn’t explain that I need to charge the additional olaplex bon...d builder. I didn’t book that service and have no idea when did she put it on my hair seriously? I was told the price before doing my hair, she added the additional service by herself without asking client for agreement? This isn’t a way to keep clients happy or coming back. I feel like I’m being scammed, if Kat gives an explanation of the additional charge beforehand, whether I can decide to do or not, then it’d have been better. Kat said $450 when she looked at the picture, which was what I wanted, I was unsure and repeated again, $450? She said yes, so we started the process. Also, Kat was answering her phone with her mom while doing my hair, spoke Spanish I believe. I saw the owner did that too, I was thinking, it might be their rules that they can answer personal phone calls at work. After my hair is done, it was a different story, she charged me $600, I asked her why is not $450? I saw her was nervous and answered, “your hair is damage so added the olaplex bond builder and needed to charge more.” Why didn’t you mention it during the process? Then, I checked the price after I got home, olaplex bond builder for long hair is $150, so the question is that Kat told her owner the quote of $650 but she gave me a $50 discount? Did I miss anything? Where is the discount? I definitely didn’t know when she actually did the olaplex bond builder, felt nothing was done on my hair. All salons work and operate differently, so they can add any additional service and charge more if they wanted to, no need to ask clients first? The owner stands by her side, I can understand, which is a shame they don’t face it. If they’re being more honest, I wouldn’t be angry about their service and the way they acted like it was my fault? I’m just a client who looks for a good service, accurate price and care about clients’ feelings. I would not visit again. After the first wash, my color almost washed out, I’m so disappointed, I spent $600 to have this color only last a couple of days? If partial’s are usually for returning clients, you should mention it on the app, if not, everyone can book this service. Again, we are sorry you had miscommunication. None of our full head pricing starts at $450. All prices have a plus sign which is an indication that it is subject to more the day of the service. Olaplex is added into every bowl of lightener mixed and toners, with a mask to follow after every wash done at the salon. There are no signs in the salon that phone calls are not allowed, therefore, there isn’t an issue if any of them need to take personal calls. Kat washed your hair in cold water, which we do to everyone and explained to you why it’s best to use cold water. You asked her to use hot water hot water knowing hot water dries your bleached hair out, opens your cuticle up and strips the toner. There’s many factors that play into toners fading, such as, types of products being used at home, hot water, type of water through your filters, and PH levels in the hair to name a few. Your service was 6 hours long, a partial is done within 2-3 hours. All the hair was bleached even the in between to give you the lightness you wanted. We hope you are able to find the salon that fits your expectations. Thank you.
