When I showed up and explained I had a ...wedding to shoot this weekend and wasn’t from the area, Gabriel didn’t hesitate. She said she’d give it a shot, and man did she deliver. Super crisp cut, professional, and came through big time under pressure. I walked in confused and walked out camera-ready—she really saved me from looking like a stressed-out tourist. I’m surprised I’m even able to review because I didn’t even get an appointment! I showed up 15 mins early and when I got there she canceled my appoint...ment saying her daughter was sick which is understandable but she waited until I got there (35mins from home) to tell me and when I walked in, she was with a client and barely half way done which she should have been considering it was time for my appointment? Yes she offered to get me in the next day but that’s when I needed my daughter’s hair braided by and I didn’t want to give her our business anyways. Also, the first and only time she did do my daughters hair, she didn’t start til 45 mins after scheduled appointment. Very unprofessional *Edit to add I didn’t “still walk in as if you said nothing” I told you on the phone I was already there and you said “well since you’re already here let me call my mom and see if there’s a way I can squeeze you in I’ll let you know” I said okay call me back let me know if there’s anything we can do and we’ll go from there. You never called me back so I obviously came inside to check since I was already there 😂 Show more

Hi Marina, I’m truly sorry your experience wasn’t what you expected, but I do want to clarify a few things. On the day of your appointment, my young daughter had a serious asthma flare-up. As soon as I received the call from her sitter , I informed you immediately and told you I’d have to reschedule. Despite that, you chose to come in anyway, and I explained again in person that I had to leave and care for my child. While I understand you had other plans that day, my child’s health will always come first. I offered to reschedule you for the very next day, but you declined. As for your previous visit, I do apologize for any delay, but I always aim to give each client quality service — sometimes that takes a little extra time. I wish you the best finding a stylist who better fits your expectations, but please understand that emergencies happen, and respect goes both ways.
