My name is Hopie & I specialize in braiding, locs, & crochet hairstyles. I have been braiding for 13 yrs. I am self taught with braids, & a licensed cosmetologist. I am educated with locs. I can start them, repair them or reattach them. I can work with a variety of hair textures. I am an artist who loves to be able to express myself through hair & help you reach the look you desire. BRAIDS BY HOPIE POLICIES PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! During my services, I thrive on providing each and every client the best possible service I can offer. That’s why I have some basic policies in place to ensure everyone enjoys their Braids by Hopie experience. These are some general things to keep in mind to make sure your experience with me goes as smoothly as possible. - NO EXTRA GUEST! UNLESS DISCUSSED PRIOR & I APPROVE I DO NOT BRAID OVER ANOTHER BRAIDER’S WORK! DEPOSIT: ALL styles that are 4+ hrs requires a $40 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. All other styles requires a $20 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. And yes, all deposits are credited toward the total charge of service. *** Please understand that NEVER under ANY circumstances will deposits be refundable nor can be used for future appointments. You may reschedule ONCE, as long as you inform me at least 24 hrs before your appointment or a NEW deposit is required. PAYMENT METHOD: I accept cash app, venmo, or Apple Pay APPOINTMENT MODIFICATION: Due to the inconvenience of time that will be implicated, NO major modifications can be made once appointment is booked (wanting to change to a service that exceeds original appointment time, etc.) UNLESS it has been discussed and approved of by me in advance. Client please be mindful that there may be times where I exceed the duration of the service provided on the site. Also, be aware that the appointment is likely to be prolonged depending on the texture of your hair. If you can, try to avoid booking an appointment the day of if you have somewhere to be. I WILL NOT RUSH MY WORK. EXPECTED HAIR GUIDELINES: Prior to your appointment, please arrive with your hair FRESHLY washed, blow dried and detangled. If your hair is damped or halfway blown out, I have no option but to blow dry it. However, doing so requires an inconvenience fee of $15. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ALL PRODUCTS (including grease, oil, leave-in conditioner, etc.). You are more than welcome to bring products of your choice to be applied after your desired style is achieved. LATE ARRIVALS: Client please be considerate of both my time as well as your fellow clients. If you know you are going to be late, please inform me so that I can inform my next client if necessary as it would cause me to be behind. There is a 5 minute grace period, 10 minutes after appointment time requires an inconvenience fee of $10. Please note that after 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled! Cancellation: If you need to cancel an appointment, you can use your deposit ONCE to reschedule, as long as you inform me at least 24 hrs in advance before your appointment. If you cancel the day of, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY THE FULL BALANCE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT, if you want to rebook with me. KID STYLES: Kid styles are acceptable for ages 7+ ONLY When booking any kid styles, PLEASE INSURE YOUR CHILD WILL SIT STILL DURING THE DURATION OF THE APPOINTMENT (1-2hrs). Please feel free to bring tablet or other electronic device (Nintendo, iPad, etc.) that may assist in keeping your child occupied. HAIR/ACCESSORIES: I DO NOT provide braiding hair or hair accessories (hair jewelry, string, etc) Please bring it if you want me to put it in. Client please understand that you are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of your hair. !!!!There Are Absolutely NO Refunds!!!!
