I never got a chance to talk the problem out. The adult client's mother would not let me talk. I talked to client throughout appointment explaining what was happening. While the haircut was shorter than we expected as I was cutting, I let client know that all of his dead hair was gone and his hair would grow faster and healthier. There was a consultation done in the beginning where I let him know I would definitely be cutting more than 1/4 in.

I’m sorry that you’re not happy with the haircut. I asked your husband to step out because your son kept looking at him and I know he was trying to help but it wasn’t. A kid is going to listen to their parent over a stranger. He did sit better once I asked your husband to sit in the bigger waiting room. I cut some off of the top and your husband said it looked good. You have a toddler, every haircut isn’t going to be like an adults.
