I seriously couldn’t ask for a better nail tech 🥹 She not only does amazing work, but she truly cares about her clients. She always listens to exactl...y what I want and makes sure I love every detail before I leave. I was really excited to try this mobile nail tech who services the IE; however, I ended up highly disappointed with Kay’s Nail Wagon. While Kay’s serv...ices promote the idea of convenience, her services and lack of professionalism are anything but convenient. I scheduled 4 appts with Kay and every appointment there was always SOMETHING that happened. My 1st appt I booked a soak off of the acrylic overlay I had on my natural nails, a fresh acrylic overlay for medium to long nails, and a simple solid color. She confirmed the services I booked when I sat down in her chair and then began rushing thru the services. She quickly cut off two of my nails down to the skin and when I asked what she was doing, she said “I do a cut down for all of my soaks offs”. I told her that I didn’t ask for or want my nails cut down as they are my natural nails and I wanted to keep their long length…as I had stated not even 2 mins prior. She simply said “Oh, well do you want me to put tips on them to fix them?”…ummm yes you absolutely need to do something to fix them because I didn’t request any type of cut down nor did I plan to walk out of the appt with nubs for fingernails! The only reason why I scheduled follow up appts with Kay after this was so that she could grow out the nails that she messed up and cut off. My 2nd appt was scheduled on 11/4/25 at 1pm. 10 mins before my appt, she calls me saying that she was going to be late bc she was still working on a client located in Perris (29 miles from my location). She showed up to my location 50 mins past my appt time. It’s baffling how her policies note that if a customer is 15 mins late that she will cancel the appt and charge their card the price of the appt, but she doesn’t hold herself to her own standards to make it to her scheduled appts timely! 3rd appt on 11/8/25 I booked a design change just for my two index fingers. The day of the appt she texts me an hour before my appt saying that she “forgot” to mention when I booked the appt with her the day prior that she has a $45 minimum for services, not including her travel fee. Nowhere in the list of policies on her website does it indicate that there is a $45 minimum…if this truly is a policy, then it should be listed on her list of policies. As a client, I don’t mind paying any fees that a nail tech sets, as funds aren’t an issue for me, but I do expect honesty and transparency from businesses that I illicit services from. My 4th appt on 11/25/25 never actually even occurred…after she asked to push back my appt by 30mins, she texted me 30 mins before the newly scheduled appt time stating that she was canceling my appt due to “personal concerns”. I was beyond fed up at this point. I asked for a refund of the deposit that I paid and I won’t dare to even think to consider scheduling another appt with her. I wouldn’t recommend Kay to anyone that I know. Her lack of professionalism and disrespect for customers’ time and schedules is absurd and completely unacceptable for someone who claims to be a business owner. Show more

Hi Ellen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m very sorry that your experience with my services didn’t meet your expectations. I always aim to provide convenience, clear communication, and quality work, and apologize that this wasn’t reflected in your appointments. Regarding your first appointment, soak‑offs in my practice normally include a cut‑down for safety. I understand now that keeping your natural length was very important to you, and should have confirmed that beforehand. Regarding arrival times, I do my best to stay on schedule and apologize for delays. Sometimes delays from previous sets or heavy traffic can cause setbacks, but I notify clients as soon as I’m aware of changes. Regarding the minimum service price, the minimum fee has always applied to appointments below the standard base price. I did share this before heading over, but agree it should be clearly listed in my Instagram policies and consent forms, and will update them accordingly. Regarding the appointment cancellation, I had to cancel due to personal circumstances beyond my control. Given the earlier delays, I understand this felt especially disappointing, and issued a refund when requested. I never want anyone to feel rushed or unheard, and strive to provide a professional, high‑quality experience.
