I wanted to love this, but unfortunately, it was a very stressful experience. Had I known, I gladly would have arrived pre-washed or detangled, but th...at wasn't specified anywhere in her booking info. Instead, I felt disrespected upon arrival when she scolded me about how my hair should’be been detangled yet that was something I looked for on her booking confirmation and was not there She later then very roughly detangled my hair dry with excessive pulling ripping. My 9:00 AM appointment turned into an almost 4 hour ordeal of waiting for a silk press. It was made known about the event I was going to which was a wedding and what time the wedding was at. Yet by around 11:00 AM, after I had already waited around 2 hrs my service was paused right after my blow-dry to take in another client. When I pointed out how late it was getting, voiced my concerns, and offered to pay for what had been done so far just to step away around 11:15–11:30 AM, my service was quickly rushed through and I was able to leave my appointment around 12:45. While I do not want to insinuate there was no heat protectant used, given the severe damage and distorted curls I was left with, I feel as though my hair wasn't handled properly as I had to have post-cut chop. Lastly, although the booking listed the price as $50+, I was ultimately charged $165 and feel as though for the service I received it was not worth the amount I paid. While I prefer not to leave negative reviews, this taught me a hard lesson to stick with trusted stylists rather than trying someone new.

While she is an extremely nice lady, she has no business doing natural hair aside from locs and dreads. I came in for a press and curl and immediately... had to put my hair in a pony tail upon leaving the salon. I’m not too sure what products she used, but my hair was extremely flat/greasy and she chopped it off without consulting me first. A trim turned into cutting off at least 5 inches and she turned me around before telling me how much she was cutting off. It also took me weeks and multiple washes to regain my natural texture. I feel as though she added some sort of chemical to prevent it from reverting . The worst part is that listed price is also deceiving. It jumped from $50 to $130 with the only added service being a trim. I will never go back!
