On Thursday September 7th, I booked an appointment for a sew in for 5pm on September 11th. Judy quickly reached out and let me know she was not availa...ble at that time, and suggested we reschedule for sooner date. However, due to my limited schedule, the 11th was the only day I was available. Graciously, she offered me a 9pm appointment instead. I did not ask for this appointment, she suggested it. I told her it would be a partial sew in, just needed a few tracks added to the sides of my hair for some volume. I had no problem paying the cost of the full sew in and knew it would be a much quicker and easier appointment. Fast forward to September 11th, at 3:18pm I reach out to confirm the appointment, she said great, she’ll see me this evening. I left my house at 8:30, and arrived to the salon by 8:50 via Uber. I made sure to be early as I didn’t want her inconvenienced by my tardiness, because it seemed like she was doing me a favor. I (willingly) sat outside in a torrential rainstorm until 9pm, and then texted her to let her know I was outside and ready whenever she was arrived. Fast forward to 9:12 and I didn’t receive a response. I then called an Uber, continued to sit in the rain, and then headed back home. I have never experienced such unprofessional business etiquette. Had she canceled, I would have totally understood. But leaving me sitting outside in a rainstorm without so much as the decency or courtesy to let me know she couldn’t make it, is unacceptable. I will absolutely tell everyone I know to avoid this place. What’s the point of booking an appointment if the stylist/owner can choose whether or not to show up? Show more

Judy was so gentle and careful when doing my knotless braids. She washed and prepped my hair as well which is so hard to find now. Her salon was so cl...ean and peaceful, I literally fell asleep while she was braiding. She is professional and so knowledgeable about her art - I recommend her and will be going to her for any of my protective styling needs in the future.
