Denny did my very first closure install a month prior and I loved the whole experience so I was not expecting what happened to me to occur. I was shoc...ked and honestly traumatized because there is so much going on in the world. Zero stars would be more applicable for the vile experience I had with Mr. Denny Dolls. He informed me that he was no longer working in the shop & asked if I could come to his house. I didn’t mind that at all so I proceeded with my booking. The day before my appointment I noticed he changed the appointment time without letting me know. Luckily I noticed and reached out to him letting him know I needed the original time I booked due to prior engagements I had scheduled for the day. He agreed the original time was do-able but he would be tired from things he was doing the night before. I figured that was strange because if you feel you will not be able to do your job, cancel my appointment but, I proceeded on. Once I arrived to my appointment the following day, an unknown individual greeted me & invited me in. An unpleasant oder met me at the door as I proceeded into his home. Denny was on the couch sleep and this individual informed him that his client had arrived. Denny looked up at me as I was standing at the door, waved and went back to sleep. The unknown male started cleaning up Denny’s work area as I stood there. After a few minutes passed I asked said stylist if he was going to do my hair or did I need to leave. Eventually he got up and invited me into his work area. He complimented me on how good my closure still looked and we spoke on what maintenance I wanted done. As soon as he touched my hair I could smell the aroma of sexual relations on his hands. I immediately got sick to my stomach. He must have known because he walked to the back of his apartment, to my guess, freshen up. Now I should have just left then because that is another form of disrespect and unprofessionalism. When he returned he was looking all in my phone asking about the cars I was looking at. He started to cut my tracks. By this time we had been in my head for less than 10 minutes. He walked to the back again. I sat there, while he had music blasting. I waited about 10-15 minutes and heard an alarm going off from the back of his apartment. I was thinking he may have went to lay down a couple more minutes despite having a client at the front. Again, I should have left, but I was thinking it couldn’t get any worse. I proceeded to wait another 30+ minutes, called his phone twice & it went straight to voicemail. By this time I’m concerned, Im not sure if he could be in the back having a medical emergency or what. I turned the music off and yelled out his name as I looked down the hallway. I could see feet hanging off the bed. I mustered up the courage to walk back there, because again, could be a medical emergency. I walked to the back & saw 2 males sleeping and quickly turned around to head back to the front of the apartment. I’m panicking and Denny is no where to be found. Needless to say he never returned so I left. I was outraged by the lack of human decency to leave a female in a home with 2 unknown sleeping males while she was supposed to be getting her hair done. I would have much rather he cancelled my appointment then leaving a client abandoned in his home. I paid a $50 deposit and sent a cash app request for him to return it. He never responded……the next day I saw that he was posting on Facebook like nothing ever happened, AND HAD DONE ANOTHER YOUNG LADY’S HAIR!!! I text him asking for my deposit back and he offered a bottomless, meritless, worthless apology & returned my deposit. Now grant it there were plenty of red flags & I should have left the minute I walked into his home and it smelled of fornication, but hey LESSON LEARNED! I will NEVER do business with him again and hope for the safety of others, if a situation is not professional and feels unsafe, remove yourself. Show more

I neve cut anything out your head I told you to reschedule the appointment cause I was ip helping a friend cook you when you came yes I was tired & I told you I would be you tb sex smell that a lie a bald face lie I cant believe you lit just sat in here and lied like I started cutting things out yo head and I never did & you came in and was more than welcomed & was chatting and haveing conversations with my brothers hints “ it was the day before thanking" this is crazy but thank for the review lol this is lit a joke!

Believe the Bad Reviews! I Got Straight up Ghosted after driving half way across town . He never showed up. No Call , No Response to Text, just radio ...silence . I sat waiting for Over an hour which turned in to ALL DAY because Luckily a member of the shop was able to reach him after SEVERAL attempts, ..get my deposit back , And have SOMEONE ELSE do my hair ! Then the guy had nerve to give no apology nor sympathy and several days later .. come here to edit his responses to This review. Life goes on .Just READ THE REVIEWS AND REPONSE. The professionalism or lack thereof speaks for itself . You have been warned . God Bless Show more

It’s crazy we as people will literally cling to the couple of bad reviews on here & completely forget about the hundreds of good ones , you called me screaming like I was a child because I was late & demanded your money back once a deposit is sent back love there is no appointment on top of being disrespectful ….you talked to me n I sent your money back stop trying to make it seem like I was holding your Des posit hostage I was with a client running late I work with my hands & clients require my undivided attention so I gave just that! & yes read the 186 5 star reviews 😍🥰

Would NOT recommend if you have any expectations for reliability, timeliness or consistency. Read full details below I am a return customer at Denny'...s Dolls. As such, this review will be based on both instances. I discovered Denny back in FEB 2022 (wanted something new for my birthday). I LOVED his portfolio, booked and got my hair (lace front install) done; it was nice and I was slayed. However, I did have issues finding the location (downtown Dallas) and he was over 30 minutes late. Despite, that I still left a handsome tip. Maybe I was in a good mood since it was my birthday and Valentine day weekend.😏 Fast forward to SEPT 2022, I booked again.. same style. The initial weekend I booked (09/17), I booked on Booksy and reached out the day before inquiring for the address confirmation and was informed the "shop was close" that whole weekend. Uhhhh, ok? 🤨. So, why was I able to book? Anyway, cool.no problem. We texted back and front and I secured a rescheduled appointment for the following weekend (09/24) @10am. The day before Denny reached out to confirm..we were still on. The morning of, I was running late about 20 minutes and got there at 10:18am. I sat, sat, sat and sat. To put it into perspective, other stylists at the salon he shared a space with had a least one customer each come and go. I watched a MAU do a whole beat..and actually got a few tips...lol. So, that was a positive. I finally texted Denny at 11:30am (an hr and a half after my appointment time) inquiring about an ETA. Nothing, radio silence. At 11:50am..I walked around and asked a few other stylists for their business cards and left. As, I write this review its 3:44pm, i have heard a thing. So, I send another text see correspondence herein Does he do nice hair... absolutely! Is it worth the watse of time, energy, experience..NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. There are other reliable stylist available in the DFW. Ya'll have BEEN WARNED. Show more
