What I think you should know about this place is that it is in every sense of the word a modern Barbershop. Witty banter from the hair managers and ...patrons fills the two chair room. While I've never seen a girl in the chair, I wouldn't be surprised. My favorite part about it is that it's like "Coming to America", just minus Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy playing all the parts. Instead there is JaNelle, a refreshing artist in the old school, Midwestern sense, with a twist of modern, practical sensibility and a touch of whimsy. JaNelle is the ultimate hair manager. You see, she does more than give great wig busts and a friendly smile and good conversation like you'd expect from a normal barbershop. She is a personal "beauty advisor" and offers free advice on natural remedies from everything from skin issues and beauty secrets, to what to do in Utah. She even gives life advice and all the things that you would never get at the old school barbershop, minus the arguing over fact versus opinion. This is a new spin re-created traditional barbershop concept all grows up into the enlightened adult version. Yes, there's razors and clippers, but there's also a hand massage and warm towel. They've accompanied those norms with App appointments and light-hearted tolerance where you feel at home and excited to return. Tell everyone about JaNelle. Please and thanks. Show more
