My experience on 3/23/24 was horrible. You may not experience what I did, but I’m posting MY experience. My hair is bleached blonde and short, very sh...ort. You’d have to use a pencil curling iron. It’s also natural meaning with no relaxer. Moneca the stylist says bleached hair will melt with heat applied. Meaning curling irons and flat iron or pressing comb. She then said she wouldn’t do it cause my hair would fall out. Cool. Great she kept it real. Then she shampooed and conditioned deep conditioned my hair. I said finger waves. Said she couldn’t do that it wouldn’t lay down my hair not straight enough. She attempted and it looked horrible. I already had my card charged. So I was leaving with something (Denzel voice). Then she says well I’ll try and curl it and see what happens. WHAAAT!!!!!???? My voice elevated you said it would fall out. Well let’s try it she says. I said no. I am not taking that chance. My hair didn’t get done it was pouring rain and she slicked it with styling foam and then she charged me for the deep conditioner!!!!!!! I was dissatisfied disappointed and just plain old mad. Don’t flip flop stand on what you said initially!!!!!!! Get it together Moneca!!!! Her shop was nice tho. Very nice pictures and such. Beware folks!!!!!!!!! Show more

I have 4c hair. After my blow dry my hair was still kinked… and heat was added. I’ve gotten a silk press before and my hair was not kinky after blow d...rying and my hair was not damaged afterwards. I’ve gotten my hair braided where its blow dried evenly and in less time. So I didn’t appreciate that a hot comb was added and my hair wasn’t even rlly that dry. When I proceeded to ask what else she was planning on doing she resorted to her years of experience, but I was really curious about what was going to happen next because I was thinking about stopping mid service. My hair was washed well and I was not burned during the service but that’s the bare bones of expectations.. She is nice. The salon is a chill space. Not for me though and not retuning. Show more

When you have dry brittle hair that hasn't been deep conditioned at all. The hair tends to be resistant. Your hair needs to be treated /moisturized, with hot oil. Unfortunately, you are unhappy with your silk press. Thank you for your patronage.
